How about that experimental holding room? Medb is exiting it and about to enter the planetarium when she sees the other girl. Medb gestures behind her. ]
[ She sees Medb looking around in curiosity. The room itself doesn't seem to be set to look like anything just yet except there's just a bunch of cherry blossoms that seem to be clinging to Medb. More and more and more... until it's like she's covered? ]
[Wandering around the new areas means that she enters the tea room on Monday afternoon, glancing around at the pastries and teapots around the room before she sees Medb. The bruise on her face from being kicked yesterday is still quite noticeable, and she's walking a little gingerly because of the injury to her ribs, but:]
[ It's been at least a day since the CYOA people came out of the kitchen. It's probably(?), hopefully(?) cleaner now. Medb hopes someone took care of any viscera that dropped from those four, but she's here to get some water. ]
It's good to see you, Endorsi.
[ It's good she's not in the notifs they all got this morning. ]
[Given the memories she's been showing and seeing this week, Endorsi has been trying to stay more scarce than normal until this effect fades away. That being said... She isn't the type to be satisfied just staying in her room all week, and while she spends most of Monday night in her room, by on Tuesday morning she's restless. She heads up to the uppermost floor available to them, walking into the biome. She tells herself she'll be careful, but - she doesn't notice Medb out of the corner of her eye and walks a little bit too close, and the other woman will experience something unfamiliar out of nowhere.]
[You're much younger in this memory, and you're in a dark, cold room. There's a table in the center of the room laid out with exquisite food, warm candles illuminating the people who sit - but you aren't one of them. You didn't win any of your fights today, you know, so you haven't been invited to the table to eat that food. You're given a small amount of stale bread, old enough that it just barely hasn't started to grow mold yet, and left to sit near the corner of the drafty room on the ground. You're so hungry. You wish that, even for a day, you could sit at that table with the other girls and taste that food, feel the warm candlelight. But you've never been strong enough.
The next day, though, something changes. During the day's fights... For the first time, you win. For the first time, you do well enough that you can sit at the table. You can taste the food that the rest of the girls eat. Compared to the cold, stale bread you've been eating for months, it's so warm and filling that you want to cry. You can't remember the last time you weren't hungry.
You don't forget that feeling. You start winning the fights by any means necessary. Not all of the girls survive through it. Some of them cry before you kill them, and some of them beg. The staff in the mansion start to look at you with fear in their eyes. You don't care. You're not going to starve. You're going to live. You're going to have power. You're going to be strong. Strong enough to be safe, strong enough that someday you'll never remember the taste of that stale bread, the feeling of sitting alone in the dark corner of the room while you wished and waited. The group of other girls gets smaller and smaller, but it doesn't matter. If this is the only way to make it in the world, you'll do it.
As the memory ends, she's moving back, raising her hand - before she realizes that she's not in the middle of another fight, and lets it fall. She's silent for a beat.]
[She's wandering around the library in the morning when she notices Medb inside, and while she pauses upon seeing the other woman... For whatever reason, she's making a beeline for her and just leaning into her.
...As opposed to how embarrassed she's felt the other times this has happened, though, she doesn't seem too upset about this? Weird.]
[Almost as soon as she hears the announcement, she starts looking around for Medb. When she finds the other woman in the observing room, she approaches, though she isn't quite sure what to say. She'll take a moment to take note of how she seems before speaking up.
That being said, the expression on her face is clearly sympathetic.]
[Endorsi is also much more healed than Medb saw her last night! The scratches on her face are about 75% healed, and the two missing fingers are back, even though they are Outside Bones. She can even speak, though it sounds slow and awkward as she does.]
I didn't want to spend the night there. Too crowded. I was in the planetarium with a few friends.
[ Well, there are no shoes here but clown shoes in this closet, and as she looks at the death notification on her phone, there is a wave of emotions that Medb goes through.
It's annoyance, it's frustration, it's anger, it's exasperation. There's distaste, but there is no surprise. Who could be surprised, really? There is perhaps a small pinprick of resignation and sadness underneath all that. ]
No one is surprised, and no one is going to care too much, huh?
[from her end, there's a wave of wariness as she reads the notification... and while there's a wave of deep anger and disappointment, there's no surprise, no. still, her voice is a little tight when she answers.]
...No, they probably aren't. But you and I do, huh?
[even if she doesn't think that she was as close with childe as medb was.]
[when medb comes looking for her, she's beating up a punching bag in the gym! her emotional state is... mostly angry, but there's some growing fear there as well.
still, when she sees her, she'll stop kicking this poor bag and look towards her, trying to see what her emotional state is instead.]
[ They did it! AHHHH. Well, half of the things have gone okay! Medb is bright. She's only optimistc when there's certainty, but she beelines it for Endorsi the moment she sees her.
It's almost a tackle. It's definitely a hug. ]
Nothing terrible happened when you were in that creature, right?
[ Medb is still in her fancy casino heist dress. ]

Medb's in the common room, and she's staring at the cheese mess like she can't believe it's not butter—
Haha, no. She absolutely hates it, and it shows. ]
Doesn't whatever criminal who did this know there are other people here?
[ Other, better people, her tone indicates. ]
