[ Yeah, it was a pretty horrible time. She was in the medpod for about three hours, if he came back to check. ]
Takeru?
[ Oh. She has probably washed up some by the time he sees her so she's no longer covered in blood, but she still pulls her hair in front of her face. He can probably see the beginning of a heart-shaped scar before she does that. ]
[ Her injuries are mostly healed from when she came out of the cargo bay! They're 75% healed, so her arm is still kind of injured. Her ear is still kind of regrowing, which he can see since she's trying not to irritate it with her hair.
He can't see the wounds in her stomach, but that's fine. ]
There were... robots, I think, of people we knew from home. [ She squints, as if trying to remember something and then winces because squinting is bad for her right now. ] They attacked us, too.
[ She leans against him but only for a brief second.
Her lips curve in a small, almost wry smile. ]
Yeah, I will. I don't want to be at a disadvantage if someone targets me, and I can't stand looking like this. I'll always be beautiful, but... [ Her voice grows very quiet. ] I do feel a little ugly right now.
[ After a long moment, Medb nods slowly. There's a little reluctance, but she raises a hand to push her back, tucking it behind her ear.
There is a heart-shaped scar that covers that spans the right side of face, cutting down through where her eye is. Her right eye is healed to the point that she can only half-see with it. ]
That startles her, and for once, she doesn't immediately respond. It takes a moment for her eyes to flutter shut, the pain in her face throbbing a bit more, but she kisses him back.
She raises a hand to his cheek, her touch feather light. ]

Hi.

Do you need anything? Food? Something to drink?

He can't see the wounds in her stomach, but that's fine. ]
Just sit with me? I don't need food.
no subject
I'm here.
no subject
Yeah, I'm glad.
[ She lifts a hand as if to touch his cheek but drops it. ]
I was afraid I'd see an illusion of you when I got taken, you know.
no subject
[ it's not like the illusions ever do anything good in those places. ]
no subject
[ That's cheerful enough. She is happier that she didn't. ]
And you shouldn't. We had to strip them a little.
no subject
[ strip checks are already the worst. ]
no subject
Yeah, but it's fun when you do it other ways. When it doesn't involve death and whatever else.
no subject
[ if there is one thing he learned from being here, it is death ruins everything.
well he knew that before but now it's like extra inconvenient ]
no subject
[ She looks away and sighs. ]
But I wanted to be able to take down what did this to me.
[ Her hand unconsciously lifts to touch the scar hidden by her hair. ]
no subject
he'll reach over to grab her hand. ]
What was it?
no subject
A fucking ugly monster.
[ Wow, she hates it so much. Her anger sharpens her tone like blade. ]
Something furry— I guess it was just its face that was. Some kind of alien... with a furry face.
no subject
[ well, she did look mad when she came back. ]
Is it what caused all of the injuries?
no subject
[ And for a moment, she looks almost confused. ]
There were... robots, I think, of people we knew from home. [ She squints, as if trying to remember something and then winces because squinting is bad for her right now. ] They attacked us, too.
no subject
[ she seems. not too sure about this part? ]
no subject
[ ... ]
I can't remember what he looks like now.
no subject
It came back in a week.
no subject
As if this place hasn't taken enough from us already, huh? Even if it's going to come back, that it'd take it away in the first place is unforgivable.
no subject
[ sometimes you spend a week slightly confused about why your wish is your wish, but it's fine.
... ]
Will you go back into the pod later?
no subject
[ She leans against him but only for a brief second.
Her lips curve in a small, almost wry smile. ]
Yeah, I will. I don't want to be at a disadvantage if someone targets me, and I can't stand looking like this. I'll always be beautiful, but... [ Her voice grows very quiet. ] I do feel a little ugly right now.
no subject
she does pride herself in her beauty. ]
Can I see?
[ he won't be surprised or offended if she says no, but he wants to ask. ]
no subject
