[ After a long moment, Medb nods slowly. There's a little reluctance, but she raises a hand to push her back, tucking it behind her ear.
There is a heart-shaped scar that covers that spans the right side of face, cutting down through where her eye is. Her right eye is healed to the point that she can only half-see with it. ]
That startles her, and for once, she doesn't immediately respond. It takes a moment for her eyes to flutter shut, the pain in her face throbbing a bit more, but she kisses him back.
She raises a hand to his cheek, her touch feather light. ]
[ It's something both fragile and secure, the way he's making her feel right now, and she doesn't know what to do with the feeling. The words he said, the way he's smiling— it causes almost an ache, and she...
It makes her want to hold onto him, so she does, slipping her arms around him, her fingers clutching at his shirt. ]
he'll wrap his arms around her, as gently as possible to not disturb the injuries she still has, but while still trying to at least have a firm enough firm so that she knows he's there. ]
[ She stays like this for a few more moments, indulging in his embrace. She pulls back and smiles up at him. He has been kinder, more openly kind, than she thought he'd ever be, and she appreciates it.
There are words she can say, but nothing sounds right in her mind. ]
I am terrible enough to say I would have liked to stay like that for a lot longer, but I know you have plans to be elsewhere. [ To whatever curfew plans he has. ] You can ask any last questions you have, and I'll let you go.
