[ Medb is walking through the shrine with an iced coffee in hand, taking in the nice scenery. She gravitates towards any of the flowers but will raise a hand when she sees Gu Yun. ]

I thought you weren't the religious type. Or is it just anti- [ A beat. ] Santa?

gu yun laughs at the comparison, though, and props his chin in his hands. he's got pride's clawlike fingers, the beginnings of a black iron crown growing out at his temples, and his eyes are a piercing, bright gold color today - clearly due for an indulgence, though he doesn't seem bothered.

grinning; ] Well, a shrine with no donkey monks aside is just a pleasant walk, no? Besides, flowers should always find themselves in beautiful gardens.

[fergalicious]

Your silver tongue is even more polished today.

[ She laughs. ]

Fair enough. It's a beautiful place without any braying. We should take what peace we can from it while we can.

[liuli]

[ that first comment gets a playful, exaggerated wink, but he seems to agree! ]

We should. Would you mind terribly some company on your stroll? I could use a moment to stretch my legs.

[ She winks and gestures for him to join her. ]

We can talk about silly things, or we can talk about more serious things.

With such a pleasant conversation partner, surely even the serious becomes an enjoyable topic.

[ with a charming smile as ever! gu yun hops up from his bench and trots over to join medb, offering her his arm. ] Lady's choice. Shall we?

[ She takes his arm easily with a smile. ]

We shall. What do you think our chances are for getting out of this with what we want?

[ hmmm. there's a thoughtful pause. off they go! ]

I think better than they were last week. With the air cleared between us and the Avatars, it may help to move things along in the right direction. Tyranny's worse than tigers, and all.

My wish isn't a matter of life and death, at least for myself, but I know many others that are. I intend to follow it through to its completion, no matter what.
