Is it a different effect from what happened with Childe? I know everyone will appreciate seeing you with two working hands again.

I don't think he'd ever want to "help" me, even by his definition, but I was thinking I'd be his first target.

Mm. I fought something before the battle we both participated in that caused me to lose feeling in my arm. [ he reaches over and pats his left arm. nothin. ] I don't think it's going to last - if that was permanent, I think the pod would've taken care of it, so I just have to wait it out.

[ but... medb... aw. it's a little tasteless, probably, but, his mouth twists up into a wry smile, and gu yun huffs a little laugh. ] ... Well, we couldn't have that. If it's tasteless, then I suppose it's tasteless for me to say 'you're welcome', too. Let's keep it between us, since we're people with good taste, hm? No one has to know.

[ there's more of his usual easygoing amusement in that, a flicker of playfulness, though it fades to something more thoughtful. ]

I won't say I'm not thinking someone will try to retaliate against me for it, but I can handle myself. Though, after his spiel at the end, I'm not sure if he'll have that many allies.

If anyone comes after you when he admitted how much he thought being a serial killer was "good" and "helpful," they're as much an idiot as he is. Even if we don't want to judge people for crimes they've done before coming here, his line of thinking is dangerous.

Not to mention, if given the choice between putting away someone who was framed, and rather poorly at that, or someone who was very likely to kill someone with a powered tool of some sort in a false kind of help, I can say that I can live with my conscience when choosing the second.

What happened, between you two? Was it just his personality?

Yeah. Our personalities clashed a lot, and he let enough of his weirdness show that I didn't like the thought of sharing a room with him and I told him so.

But even if she didn't want to share the room, it's not as if she could prevent Fukuda from entering their room since it's keyed to their phones. ]

I think what made it worse is that Douman accepted me as their Master.
